We’re over halfway through the year now, but fashion is moving forward like it always does! If you want to stay up-to-date for the rest of 2017 (and possibly into 2018), here are five tips you need to know.
As you know, I’m all about functional fashion. There’s no point wearing something if it’s so uncomfortable that you don’t enjoy you night, so I try to stick to tips that I personally enjoy wearing.
For that reason, none of the tips involve crazy heels or other such nonsense!
If, like me, you thought that metallics are a one-off item (probably for New Year’s Eve), you might have to rethink! Shine metallics are definitely on the upwards trend as we move towards the second part of 2017, and they match great with similar accessories.
One thing I really like about this trend is that metallics look great during both night and day.
If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you’ll know that I’ve enjoyed this year’s trend of slip on shoes.
The good news is that this doesn’t seem to changing. Backless loafers, in particular, seem to be making a strong finish to the year. The great thing about this type of shoe is that they can look classy while still being comfortable.
Floral designs are definitely in right now – which is great for me because I love them!
Don’t go for just any floral dresses though. Look for darker prints, as they still provide a feminine appeal whilst being a little more moody than classic floral designs.
On a side note, H&M have some fantastic floral dresses that match this criteria. So check them out if you like the sound of this tip!
Bombers are one of those clothing types that never seem to go away. I’m not complaining though – I love me a bomber jacket!
It seems like there’s a trend towards floral or intricate bombers rather than plain ones though. If you’re wearing them during the day, this type of jacket goes well with denim.
Pinafore dresses aren’t just for school anymore. Denim and darker colour pinafore dresses are right in fashion at the moment.
There are plenty of places you can get these dresses, but my top recommendation at the moment is Zara. They aren’t the cheapest, but they look amazing.
